And oh yeah.

1st and 3rd 1 out, Fast Runner on 1st, Slow Hitter At the Plate, Tough hitter to strike out at the plate, not a strikeout hitter on the mound, 3-2 count, hmmmmm what to do here????

oh oh oh oh I know, lets NOT SEND THE RUNNER! Willie your stupidity reached new levels today. If you don't send the runner in this spot, when the [censored] do you EVER send the runner? Jesus Christ. McCarver\'s reasoning for this is Milledge is inexperienced. Well ok fine, hes inexepriences but is he mentally retarded? He can't handle running on a 3-2 pitch they didnt learn to do this in the minors, if hes that green then he shouldnt be on the roster, give me a break.

It is painful watching Gotay in the field.

It started with the 2 RBI popup a copule month ago against Milwaukee.

It continues with his complete lack of range.

It reach scary proportions when he nearly got Reyes killed a couple of weeks back.

And today was the icing for me.

Need Duque to come up big tomorrow. Let's come back to Shea with a winning trip.

The crowd of boos that arrived when PLD was announced as the pinch-hitter was made at least 1 man stronger by this Mets fan. I turned to my friend after like 1 pitch of the at-bat and said, "the only way this doesn't end in a double-play is if he fouls off 100 pitches and eventually works a walk." He almost did it too....except for the easy grounder he hit after hacking at ball 4. There's really no good reason why Castro isn't the #1 catcher at this point.

Also, I had a better shot at Gotay's throw than Delgado, and I was up in the Loge. And Beltran seems to be coming around nicely.....

Oh well, tomorrow I've got awesome seats right off home plate, and I expect a dazzling array of Eephus pitches to send me home happy with a series win.

Kbfc, the other way it could not end in a DP was if our manager had an IQ of greater than 60 and sent the [censored] runner on a [censored] 3-2 pitch.

The 3-1 pitch to Hernandez is the 6th was the worst ball/strike call I've ever seen in my life. IDK how a bigger deal wasn't made of that. If that call was made against ANY position he'd have went batshit.

And then he doesn't get a call on the corner, leading to a walk in front of Nomar's HR.

Home plate umpire has been horrible.
