Just got an interesting PM...

"You may well have already come to the same conclusion, but in case you haven't - it would appear that the drawball playback hasn't been updated in at least 5 months, as the large Michaelangelo painting (dated 4/14) is nowhere to be seen. It's probably been more like 9 months since the playback was updated, because the playback page is subtitled "1 year at 40 hrs per second" and it looks like drawball was first up and running in December '05 or so (from Alexa.com). Therefore the current playback probably ends sometime in December '06. So for BBV4L to make it into the playback is probably going to take at least 3 months of work (assuming drawball updates playback at the 2-year mark - a pretty big assumption, imo). So, as you are the drawball VP and all, I'm PMing this to you instead of just posting it because making it into the playback seems to be a pretty big motivating factor for a lot of the guys keeping up the logo and I didn't want to discourage everyone. Please feel free to repost, ponder, or ignore this speculation at your leisure. "

Yea i kinda figured. but bbv4l is not about awards, it's about the spirit of the game. and about dids. and buttsecks. so where does this leave us? hell if i know.

It's disheartening at first but give it a week then you start gaining ink mega fast so you don't have to wait more than 24 hours to have a lot of ink.

Ok, so we have maintained it for about 10 days maybe? We now need to keep it going another 2 months and 20 days. If we keep it to that exact time, how long will it show up on the drawball replay?

Honestly, I'm debating if this is worth continuing. We've established a presence there and I'm not sure if drawball is worthy of our efforts. Obviously with only limited interested we can maintain a logo.

Doing this for months though, just to get on the playback? And that's just to be a blip. I mean we are poker players, not real DBF guys.
