[ QUOTE ] so when ellsbury was on the bench and manny was up at plate, he was extra pumped to hit? L O L [/ QUOTE ] Of course not goof ball. I'm talking about the energy he infused into the team when he for example scored from second on a passed ball or got the infield hit on a routine grounder to SS. It's obvious to me that you probably never played sports on a competitive level when you make a comment like that. [/ QUOTE ] toro i think the guys that dont give a pretty close to optimal level of energy/effort at all times don't make it out of single-a. ur experience in high school baseball or whatever aren't necessarily analogous to the experiences of the top 1,000 players in the world |

Andddddddd they get screwed out of 2 runs, NICE JOB UMPS CLEAR HOMERUN [/ QUOTE ] It's clear if you avail yourself of the camera that is perched high above the wall. If you're an ump on the field? Not so clear. This is the third time I've seen a ball clear the wall, hit that monochromatic board, and bounce back onto the field. I was surprised when the umps got it right the first two times. I was not surprised they missed this one. Maybe it's time to deface that famous green wall with a broad yellow stripe across the top (like every other monochromatic wall/background in MLB)? |
