HBE wins Veto

I'm going to say this one time.

The next time I have a challenge where nearly everybody follows a strategy that is almost guaranteed to lose, I'm probably going to come up with some sort of punishment.

I'm not handing out a penalty vote to the player that is late, btw, for 2 reasons:

1. He possibly hasn't seen the deadline
2. He's the only player that considered how to win the game

HBE, you may choose to use your veto to remove Herbie or Clown, or nobody. Post your decision in thread in bold. If you use the Veto, I will announce the third place finisher in voting who will be the replacement nominee.

thats bogus zurvan

the way i played was the only way to win the game

you were not going to win this game by cooperating. defecting was +++++EV -- look at the numbers -- you get either 1 or 5 each time while cooperating you get either 3 or 0. so defecting was like 200% better than cooperating. and you are gonna punish people for realizing that?

If you think it's the best strategy, you need to consider that your opponent will also think it's best.

If you both follow the always defect strategy, you tie the round and are eliminated. Which means that strategy cannot win the game.

against a random draw, defecting got you an avg of 3 pts, cooperating got you an average of 1.5

It's not an average draw, ldo.

Regardless, I don't want to debate this in thread any more, it's not appropriate to discuss game strategy as the Mod (ldo). If you wish to continue the discussion, we can do so after the game.

if i think my opponent is gonna think its the best stategy, then i cannot cooperate cause i think he is defecting and then im getting 0 and he is getting 5

so i have to keep defecting and hope he is dumb and cooperates
but if i cooperate at all i am basically handing him the game

the game was flawed i guess zurvan, but dont blame us

TIME TO VOTE BITCHES

Everybody votes, for one of Herbie or Clown

When you do, submit a confessional:

Which of these players have you had the most extensive relationship with in the game? What was the nature of it?
