In all of my drafts, Barber has gone 60th or so, and once at 99th, but depending on who was out there for RBs, he's probably a safe bet. Not a big fan of the Betts pick. He's been going much lower. I'd probably grab a QB there. Same with JJones.

[/ QUOTE ]That one turn I needed some running backs, Betts/Jones were basically best left. Brandon Jackson or DeShaun Foster really only decent ones left. I figured Betts was worth gamble just if Portis goes down and I have a great #2 or if Barber/JJ get hurt, this wasn't a handcuff just taking best two rb's.

Took Eli over Romo, Cutler, Leinart. I have them all about even and don't want Cutler/Leinart due to wr's and slightly prefer Eli to Romo, he's a better player IMO.

Hey guys I'm planning on doing FF this year but only a free version. I'm not super into it or anything, but I'd like to be in a good league.

In the past, I've only used Yahoo FF. What is the best free FF league I can join??

Thanks.

Rate my team:

8 team ESPN league. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex, 1 TE, 1 D, 1 PK
6 pts per rushing TD, 4 pts per passing TD, 1 pt per 25 passing yds, 1 pt per 10 rushing yds

Auto draft

QB Vince Young
RB Willie Parker
RB Travis Henry
Flex Adrian Peterson (MIN)
WR Roy Williams
WR Calvin Johnson
TE Heath Miller
D Bears
K Vinatieri

RB Clinton Portis
RB Cadillac Williams
RB Tatum Bell
RB DeShaun Foster
D Ravens
WR Santonio Holmes
WR Brandon Marshall

Obviously, I need a backup QB. The best one available is probably Jay Cutler. I set the waiver so I drop Brandon Marshall for Cutler. But should I drop an RB instead because I have a surplus?

The other worry I have is my WRs. Two from Detroit seems iffy.

As for trades, I was in the same league last year (it's a league of former co-workers), and few people were active. (It's probably not a coincidence that the 4 teams that made the playoffs consisted of the only 3 active owners and the guy who had LT.) There is one guy who's bench consists of all WRs plus Tony Gonzalez, so he could be a target for a RB for WR trade, though.

I also have the top two defenses, so one of them could be trade bait.

I should also add that I offered to trade any of my bench RBs for Matt Leinart, and the other owner never responded.

Man, for an 8 team league, that looks like a really weak team. I can't get too excited over any team who's big names are Chicago/Baltimore D and Adam Vinatieri.

Ouch. Vince Young was actually a top 3-5 fantasy QB over the last half of last season.

But for the most part, I agree with you. Auto draft really screwed me. I have lots of "solid" players. But no studs. And my TE sucks.

Dude, Young was on the cover of Madden this year. Having him is bad news.

Ugg, ESPN..really?

Is it their standard to do 4 pts for passing TD and 1 pt. per 25 yards? That does seem better than Yahoo's variance-dependent 6 points for TD and 1 point for 50 yards.

I really hate the thought of using anything of ESPN's, besides Bonny Bernsteins vag., of course.

Yahoo has 4 or 5 for passing TDs by default now
