Meh. His pick is likely in the 10-12 range, which isn't super valuable, especially in year 1 of the league. Tyrus is in a mega platoon situation and has marginal production value this year. Frye should knock down 35mpg and way outproduce him. That said, I love TT's upside (note, I'm a Bulls homer), so I think it sets me up longer term. I'm not sure how competititive I'll be with Wade out for a while, so I don't mind the short term hit. [/ QUOTE ] Ty Thomas went #137 overall. Frye went #150. He could've drafted Frye if he liked him better. And imo a #1 draft pick is more valuable than Big Baby. 106,139 and counting |

Re: Post Draft Fantasy Basketball Thread
Frankly, draft position ceased to be relevant the day the draft ended.
People make mistakes, player values change, teams end up with needs, salaries are now applied. Getting tied up in "I'm getting a 3rd and 5th rounder for a 4th and 5th rounder" is a horrid way to analyze deals and will hamstring one from making ones team better. I drafted Troy Murphy in the 9th round at a 2.2 salary. I guarantee you his trade value right now is way higher than that, and it's not just my evaluation of his production, position, potential and salary matrix, it's based on a half-dozen teams that asked to trade for him and virtually all offered guys drafted before him. In short, draft position is now irrelevant. |

[/ QUOTE ] Man it's impossible to trade with him and it makes it so unenjoyable when he luckboxed his way into a sick team. It's basacally like you can trade with 15 teams and the other team (him) is offlimits and their players will never be traded because all he does is look to drastically rip people off. On a side note, he has Mike Bibby and I am thrilled that Bibby is out 2+ months, serves him right. |

Re: Post Draft Fantasy Basketball Thread
You'd think that people would stop dealing with him - I mean, there was a point a couple of years ago when I got near-weekly complaints from owners about the obscenely ridiculous offers he was regularly making (and better yet - trying to justify). I pretty much told them all - be honest with him, tell him to screw off until he gets a clue. Despite that, he still makes more trades in the NBN than nearly any other owner and most are clearly +EV.

[/ QUOTE ] Honestly then why the heck is he in the league, it just makes it mad annoying when you know it's impossible to trade with someone in the league and that certain players even if they are only slightly above average suddenly become untouchable. |
