Capaneo is the king of the turn and river suckouts. Nobody except mayb for GM hits a turn or river gutshot more often.

Played a big session today
Graph: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b2...s/startoct.jpg Didnt want to inline it and h-scroll the thread. I was preparing to call it as a loser when i was closing down tables and won a couple buy ins to make it profitable. $16/hr - beats min wage work, but being sucked out on over and over cant suck much more. You know its time to call it a day when you expect to lose with top set with a flush draw and straight draw being out there. Biggest loss of the night was also the most representative of the session. Knew the turn was bad. I actually misclicked preflop (not trying to justify the call, i genuinely did), flopped huge and then got 2 outed. Standard. Dealt to Mr Diceman [5c 6c] n2itiv4real: folds Eamon Valda: raises $3 to $4 BLaZiN1282: calls $4 Mr Diceman: calls $4 SniperG: folds Iberico: folds baccusd: calls $3.50 pjdrake: folds *** FLOP *** [9h 6s 6h] baccusd: checks Eamon Valda: bets $15 BLaZiN1282: folds Mr Diceman: raises $24 to $39 baccusd: folds Eamon Valda: raises $78.40 to $117.40 and is all-in Mr Diceman: calls $78.40 *** TURN *** [9h 6s 6h] [Qc] *** RIVER *** [9h 6s 6h Qc] [2s] *** SHOW DOWN *** Eamon Valda: shows [Qd Qs] (a full house, Queens full of Sixes) Mr Diceman: mucks hand Eamon Valda collected $248.80 from pot Anyway, the key thing is i earnt 1901 VPPs so im solidly on target for Supernova by the end of Dec. My results will level out and over my lifetime im 2.04 ptBB/100 over 18k hands - i remember my housemate asking me what my target longterm is and i said 2 ptBB/100 is pretty good whilst 9 tabling and still learning - if i can stay at that over 100k hands i wont consider it a loss, and i hope im playing better than that. Time will tell. Time for bed then let the pain happen again, lol. Wed i have a day off so i need to grind about 5k hands tonight too. Looking forward to my second home game at the uni, last week was fun http://pokerdice.blogspot.com/2007/09/uni-game-1.html |

[ QUOTE ]
Man this forum is nitty judging from the average response in my threads. I must get played back at a [censored] ton. [/ QUOTE ] it's [censored] full ring - straightforward play is what it is. running big 3 bet bluffs and making overly-thought-out calls with marginal hands is not where the money is, especially at 100 and below. you are way too caught up in the connotations associated with lag and nit. |

An unforgiving welcome back.
OK, here's the story. Around Christmas last year I make the switch from FR LHE to FR NL and immediately start beating 25NL. I crush that for 20k hands, then move up and crush 50NL for 60k hands, then I move up to 100NL and I'm comfortable and early results are good but its only 10k hands. Then I lose my internet. Long story. I withdraw most of my roll and pwn at the local live 1-2NL games for the last 5 months. 2 days ago I finally get internet again, so I decide to get back into online, starting at 25NL to just rebuild instead of redepositing. My first day back to online poker: lost 12 buyins! Yeah, I guess you could say I'm rusty. Its no big deal money wise, less than 5% of my roll. I'm a little concerned about running out of online money since I don't know how to deposit anymore. But really, its mainly a hit to the ego. I leave thinking I'm good and in my first day back, just under 3k hands, I lose 12 buyins. *sigh* So yeah, I'll probably be spewing off hundreds of dollars a night at 25NL on FTP for the next few weeks for anyone who wants to take my money. At least until my ego can get over it and I can adjust again. Thanks for listening. |
