Yea, but through 6 games against bad defenses.

I think the fact that we are talking about how awesome Brady is because he has been comparable to Manning after 6 games shows just how great Manning is.

Also note, that Favre, who has to deal with a similar winter as Brady does(I think, probably worse in Green Bay but better away games for GB), had 20 TD's after 6 games in 1996.

He finished with less than 40.

I didn't come here to bury Manning! I can't say that he's not an all-time great, b/c I think he is. but I think it's awfully close between him and Brady.

yet another reason why you can't just look at the stats.

For the first time in his career I would take Brady's supporting cast (just offense) over Manning's (and that is assuming Harrison/Addai/Maroney are healthy).

Their DVOA's are remarkably similar through 5 games.

Its important to note that Moss > all though, so you have to take that into account when viewing Brady's stats

well ARod finished with 80HR and 210RBIs that he was on pace for, no reason Brady won't slowdown even a little

you also need to consider that this is the 1st year Brady has had with Moss, and with Stallworth, and with Welker. normally it takes a couple years to get on the same page / reach peak performance, so I'm not sure we've seen it yet. or we ever will, given the contract status of those guys.

probably won't hurt his stats that his team can actually stop the run unlike the colts, and thus Mannings is left on the sidelines

wasn't Indy near the bottom of # of possessions last year?

yes, dead last last year.

when Manning threw 49 td's 1 team had less, but they were in the same ballpark as 4 other teams. one of which was New England, who had only 3 more drives than Indy in 2004, with a great defense. San Diego had 4 more drives, and that was with a good defense.

Peyton is the best player in the league. Only an idiot would think otherwise, but I would expect nothing less from Assashiti.

The best(or worse) part about the Brady vs Manning argument is that we will be making this claim for the next 40 years of our lives.
