Really, I just think you guys need to decide what is/isn't acceptable in BBV and stick with it.

I do find it odd that this guy posted:

--Bondage porn pics w/ guy's dick blacked out
--Simulated pedophilia pics

and that was deemed suitable for BBV

THEN he posts horse porn and gets a 5-day ban

THEN he posts MSPaints of women being tied up and blowing guys, getting whipped with a jumprope, and getting choked while being banged doggie-style

and that was deemed suitable for BBV

and THEN he posts another MSPaint of a woman getting whipped, and THAT gets him permabanned?

I think you need to set some guidelines for your users and enforce them evenly for everyone.

The guidelines are set up in the sticky: "no porn or ms paint porn".

For example, there is a strict no porn rule based on our Terms and Services. So people started making mspaint porn pictures, because, by the laws of bbv4l, if someone mspaints anything it automatically makes it a "good thread". Then I added the no mspaint porn as well to the sticky a while ago. So people started putting censored signs on ms paint porn and labelling it nsfw. Now I don't even know what to punish and what not to punish because the rules are so blurred at this point and people keep pushing the boundaries of what is right and wrong.

There are not exact rules of enforcement (3 days for this, 5 days for this) because exact rules don't really work in my experience in bbv4l. I also have been awol for August...busy at work, and out of town every single weekend so stuff has slipped off my radar. I have probably read 5% of the posts in the last 5 weeks. There is just so much noise. I honestly have not seen half of the posts that got bumped by btys from lionelhutz and if I had done more research and sifted through every one of his posts I would probably have made a much different decision.

At this point, I would be more than happy to wash my hands and have someone set up their own set of rules in bbv4l and do what I'm doing right now.

As it stands now, I simply do not have any more time to deal with this situation.

right, i don't see why everyone is so against bans. is it really that difficult to not get banned from an internet forum? NO!! people need to start using the banstick and like it. and when the masses cry about it tell them to STFU and fear the banstick. being soft is no way to handle it imo. these people just exhibit basic childlike psychology and just try to push every boundary they can to see what gets them banned, everyone cries about it, THEN they contact the mod and try to apologize/get another chance.

This idea that having some hard and fast rules that get accounts nuked "will alienate customers" or whatever is just absurd.

Like I told iron: "Here's the thing. This idea that having some standards of basic decency when it comes to what can be posted here and nuking accounts of people who violate them is somehow going to hurt 2+2 by driving away valuable posters is just silly. That's all."

I have to assume Mat was joking about shutting that forum down? To say the least it sure has the BBV4L masses in a tizzy in that ATF thread and it's a win-win: if he's joking then he's getting a good laugh out of it, and if he's serious at least they'll probably self-police a little better in order to save themselves.
