OMG I TOLD YOU TO STOP READING THIS THREAD.

I don't think the idea of allowing players to set their own personal stop loss is a horrible one.

the fact that Peachy's account got broken into isn't Party's fault

[/ QUOTE ]

On the other hand, I will be extremely disappointed if Party fails to recover Peachy's money

[/ QUOTE ]

what if the guy already cashed out, and the money is gone? Should Party pay Peachy out of their own pocket? In other words, pay the criminal?

[/ QUOTE ]

so u r labeling me as the criminal??

If the money is gone due to thier FAILURE to act effectively and within a reasonable time, then yes, I hold party responsible for that 100%

[/ QUOTE ]

i read what you said wrong...as i am now on little sleep I was then as well. You meant those taking the money as the criminal as in rewarding them by letting them get away with the money i think???

either way I feel like it was def more than one player, with a main one using the others so they dont get caught...still a total nightmare....

lol..bread and circus for the masses..i digress...getting a webserver hacked i.e. IIS and having the default webpage changed to something like "poker godz rulzz--coolz" is not the same thing as having the missle silos hacked and in control by terrorists. Nice try George.

If you get your computer hacked you are stupid.

cheers

Doesn't Party have an open port to our computers to do screenscrapes of our computers?

Could that somehow be exploited by a hacker?

Once again--this has nothing to do with the PP software.

People get their machines infected with malware all the time. Some absurd percetage of computers in this country are infected with malicious programs. For most people, this just means that they see a lot of annoying popups and their computers run slow.

For people who have a lot of money online in poker accounts, the consequences are much greater.

I haven't seen anybody say they got hacked at any other site than Party though. Seems like if a hacker got into your computer he'd hit all the sites you play on. I have accounts at dozens of sites. I'm sure the people that got money stolen from Party belonged to other sites also.

So I'm wondering if there is some kind of security flaw with Party now.

Has anyone who got hacked at Party had any of their other poker sites compromised?

Just seems odd that Party is the only one ever mentioned.
