Sorry, mate. You're probably right (though I don't remember which horrible shove you're talking about).

Worse still was my horrible A4 call when we were down to two. I didn't get lucky there and finished second to allyourbase, who admittedly outplayed me heads-up.

Ah, I looked back at my hand history. You were the chipleader and table bully (rightfully so), raising a lot preflop. I came over the top of you a couple times, and you folded.

In this case, you raise in UTG+2, I think. I was to your left with 10 BBs and AJo. I thought the time was right for me to shove, while I still had some fold equity, and the fact that the chipleader was the opener protected me from overcallers. Worst case I hoped to see was a race, and that's what I got. My AJ beat your 88. Meh.

This 77 hand was probably worse on my part, as it was possibly an overbet. But if you remember, I was in push-fold mode until just a couple hands before. Here, I'm in the BB w/77, and you open in the SB for 3x (with about 12 BBs behind).

1) I hadn't yet adjusted to not being in push-fold mode;
2) You raised a lot, but showed willingness to fold to reraises;
3) You had just lost a big chunk of your stack (QQ vs KK) and were no longer chipleader (in fact, I had you covered);
4) I thought you might be on tilt

Anyway, I made the call, thought I was going to be crippled, and got lucky. It happens. It wasn't the first or last time I got lucky in this tournament.

I went on to finish second. As mentioned, I made a bad call at the end, but villain reraised me all-in on numerous occasions, and I picked the wrong hand to stand up to him.

Actually, I now know that every time he pushed over me, he had good hands--AT or better, or a pair. So the call with A4 was just stupid.

Anyway, good game, cameron. You are very solid, and to be honest, it was a relief to see you go from chipleader to the rail so quickly. You put immense pressure on the table while you were running good.
