here's an idea for getting from 24 to 4 -

how about we go 24 -> 12 -> 6, then when 6 are left, the other 18 have a free for all where the single highest scoring ms paint from the 18 losers gets back into the game to make the final 4 (3 winners of the 3 quarterfinal matches + 1 wildcard = 4)

For it to be a true fourth- the last three eliminated would also need to be allowed back in- which makes an entire extra step between cutting to 3 and starting the semi-finals.
I have no opinion on whether that's a bad thing or not, I'm just pointing out your fourth best could actually still be in the final 6 at at that point and not be included under the model you just proposed.

I like the idea of some wrestleback free for all like you suggested. I just had to nit it up a bit.

I actually am in favor of BTYS's suggestion, even though it might sneak him through the first round, of 24 -> 16 (4 highest ranking losers from round 1 move on and face each other). Barring that, the wildcard idea is interesting, but I doubt I'm going to want to put much effort into a 1 in 18 shot if I've already lost IMO.

I am in favor of poll (pole) voting and pledge not to use gimmick accounts to tamper with the vote. I don't have any suspicions about the integrity of the other players, either.
