Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
Mark Hamill comes to mind, especially in contrast to Han Solo.

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
Robin Williams - no way, he has too many good movies.
Travolta - same thing, and his performances are pretty uniform. Ice Cube was pretty good. Chris Tucker is a similar nominee to Ice Cube - I'd go with "Friday" as a good performance, and then everything after that is on the level of his 5th Element work ( = really really bad). ps. I'm not really down with the Marisa Tomei nomination, cuz she's so freaking hot that any performance by her is pretty good just for putting that hotness in front of a camera. Also most of you probably haven't seen "In the Bedroom" which is one of my favorite movies ever and her performance is very good. |

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
I nominate Gary Oldman.
I'll take "Romeo is Bleeding" as his best work, but there are definitely a few other really good performances in there, but pretty much all of his major American movie work is just horrible. (remember this isn't about whether the movie is good or bad, it's the actor's best performance minus the average of his performances) ; his work in Dracula, Fifth Element, Air Force One, Basquiat, all so so so bad. |

Re: Who has the highest \"Cuba number?\"
How about Mira Sorvino? Nominated for an Academy Award for that Woody Allen movie (which I didn't see), and absolutely god-awful in everything else.
Whoever said Eddie Murphy should be punched in the face. |

His performance in the Star Wars movies isn't great, maybe a 6 or something. He's fine, but not amazing. He really hasn't done many other movies, if you rule out voice work, he's only done like 4 other movies or something, so his average really can't be all that low. Seems like his {best} - {average} is not really going to be that low. The ideal candidate is somebody who does 1 amazing performance and then churns out a ton of [censored] after that. |
