over the summer I ran at like 6 bb/100 at 2/4 NL over 70k hands. however, this fall/winter I have'nt been doing as well. partly because of bad luck, partly because of tilt, and partly because more regulars no how to play against me. i'm playing 3/6 reguraly tho now... had a pretty solid november. tried out 5/10 the other nite and dropped about 7k. then next day dropped about 6k 12 tabling at 3/6. another reason why i haven't been winning as much is because i've been playing far too many tables at once. i plan on playing 4-6 tables and really concentrating on my image, opponenets images; and just the overall game.

One thing thats becoming more apparent ( than before ) to me is that someone can be seriously good on their A game but then tilts it off in one evening on their E game can realistically show a much smaller profit than someone who plays a (by player 1's standards) a B-game all month.

So the next question is do you define someones ability by their maximum skill or their mean average skill.

I don't think im as good as many players at 2/4 but I never ever tilt (at least not as far as I can remember) which helps a bit.

When I'm good, I'm really good.

When I'm bad, I'm really bad.

Mean average. For me it's all about how much money you manage to take out of the game in the long run. Not how much of a pain in the ass you can be to play against or how tricky you are, etc.

I just lost 2.5 buy-ins in 5 minutes because, well, I'm an idiot. I'm not good at this game.
