Brokeback Mountain [/ QUOTE ] I'm glad someone brought this up. I was mildly afraid of doing so, but I see someone has bigger balls than I do (no small feat in itself.) The ending was so pointless and needlessly depressing. I thought the movie was pretty decent until the last 10 min or so. |

Re: Very good movies with very bad endings
I would tend to disagree with Collateral, it was a very good movie and i would say the ending was average, not poor.
The Good Shepard was a pretty good movie which suffered from a bad choice of lead actor (Damon is great, but not for that role) and a pretty mediocore ending. Out of sight was a movie i actually liked a lot but disliked the ending. |

Re: Very good movies with very bad endings
[ QUOTE ]
Seven. I've made this claim before. Reason in white: Calculating serial killer thoughtfully plots 5 of 7 deadly sins. At the end he scrapes together the last two, showing he wasn't as psychopathically awesome as previously pictured. He kills a person he is not envious of (Paltrow), in a weak attempt to show envy for a cop he didn't know existed when he started his rampage. He hopes blindly that the cop will show wrath and kill him instead of just arresting him. [/ QUOTE ] Answer in white Spacey felt envy for Pitt, and he feels that he needs to die for it. Pitt feels wrath, so he dies too (death penalty for murder) |
