Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
[ QUOTE ]
Okay, then let's get this straight then. 1.5 years What is the average length of your SNGs? I used to play both turbos and regular SNGs. A turbo SNG session takes ~50 minutes, and a regular SNG session is usually ~90 minutes. I assumed $20 = regular since turbos are generally numbers like 16/27/etc. Please argue your case. [/ QUOTE ] I have played mostly $5 SNGs at UB, regular and turbo. Only within the last year have I moved up. I used to be pretty recreational. Those SNGs were very easy to beat, and I have a 51% ROI over 6000 of them. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
i just remember in the analysis of that sitngo a while back it is like "weir is a tight player, will never call with anything but AA or KK" as she pushes with 2-4 offsuit with like 1500 chips at 50/100 blinds.
or stuff like "Steve Mcpokerplayer is going absolutely crazy with this raising" and makes a decision off that. It is good to think about the game like this and stuff to a certain degree, but she was making hard and fast reads in about a 12 hand sample leading her to make a number of fairly terrible plays. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
Is it just me, or are a lot of ppl (other than pudge) bypassing the fact that it is absolutely 100% mathematically impossible to maintain a 39% ROI over 11K ONE TABLE tourneys?
This is easily the biggest joke I've ever read in my life. Obviously a huge lie, especially with no proof. But I got a good laugh. |

[/ QUOTE ] it's probably doable if they're the 'you're +EV sitting out' kind, provided you don't kill yourself 10% of the way in. I'd be less concerned about this plan if she didn't have a habit of putting someone shoving 6 BB in EP on tens, but whatever, she's a girl, she'll get sponsored by FTP in a month. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
How are you quoting ROI numbers for 11k tourneys, then state that you didn't use any tracking software except for your last 2k SNG's? That makes no sense. Don't spout off numbers without posting Poker Tracker Screen shots, ect. Makes you look like you are WAY lying (if something doesn't make sense, it's usually not true). Also, if you play about 2000 SNG's a year, 11,000 SNG's would take you over 5 years of play. Surely no one grinds $5 SNG's for 5 years. The whole story just makes no sense.
Congrats on playing full time though....good luck in the future. Your shark numbers are very good for the small sample size. |

Re: P5\'s top donk-n-go player is going pro
Which of the following choices best describes Jennifear?
a) She ran ridiculously hot over a decent sample. Although it's rare, it seems most people who have this experience find a poker forum and start posting on it. b) The "0" key on her keyboard is stuck and seems to randomly activate every time she attempts to type in a sample size. c) all of the above |
