I go away for a week, miss a few games and the first game I come home to see is Tom Glavine. At least I didn't have to watch last nights debacle. I can't wait for Glavine to get 300 and get this whole ordeal done with.

Yes, I too also can't wait for the year 2014.

BTW I'm going to the game today to See Glavine give up 8 runs through 6 innings, and still start the 7th personally. So don't expect me to chime in when he sucks royally, sorry guys.

Great call.

Ive now been to 3 games Glavine has pitched and he's been excellent in all 3, I swear he does it to spite me. Well I'd have loved to see the Mets win and Glavine to get a no-descision but I guess I'll take this. More horrendous clutch hitting by the Mets but (and I hate to say it) Glavine won the game single handidly.

We have a Moises Alou sighting!!!

"Moises Alou played today as the DH for St. Lucie in a rehab game and went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, single and walk."

Also, consider the source, but Francessa was overly confident earlier on the FAN about Alou's current health and his timetable for return. Said he spoke with Alou -- they live near each other -- and that it was clear that Alou is pretty much ready to go, and just needs to get a few swings in.

I like Francesca much much more than Russo. Either way the fact that he is swinging the bat is a big thing. The Mets could use him to PH for some time. Honestly rather have him on the roster than Newhan any day of the week. Good news. Getting Alou/Pedro is in itself like 2 upgrades to the team without making a trade. Not to mention Milledge has been on a tear.

Don't go out on a limb here, Needle!

Also, totally agree that trading is not in the team's best interest for now or the future. Some guy on the radio yesterday was saying "the mets need to trade for a bat." Ugh, when Chavez and Alou come back and with the way Milledge has been playing things will get crowded fast.
