Re: ****Official 2007 NY Mets NL East Champs Thread****
Suigin....
1st Inning: Soft Cheap Hit Down Line Bunt Single Griffey Walks after looking at strike 3 Fly Ball over the Fence Rest of 1st-4th: Basically every hitter retired with ease 5th Inning: Ground Out - Error Ground Out - Error Strike Out Another Cheap Soft Double Down Left Field Line Pitch Around For a Walk Pop Out Lien Drive 2 RBI Single (OK, hes not perfect) Maine wasnt utterly dominant, but he got hosed this game. Easily could have only given up 2 runs or so through 5. IF the Mets got hits with RISP and made the plays their still in this game. IMO this one is more on Lo Duca and Gotay than Maine. Now That Pelfrey is in we are seeing ACTUAL bad pitching, I honestly felt Maine should have just been allowed to go 6. He was pitching fine. |

Re: ****Official 2007 NY Mets NL East Champs Thread****
You see the difference in the 6th inning. Every hitter reaching in this inning has not been bad luck like for Maine but the result of walks and hard hit balls. Sometimes fans and even guys in the booth ignore this too much. Everything offensively that occurs is not 100% the pitcher's fault.

Obviously it isn't entirely Maine's fault; it's pretty clear that Tom Glavine was coaching him up before this start.

I go away for a week, miss a few games and the first game I come home to see is Tom Glavine. At least I didn't have to watch last nights debacle. I can't wait for Glavine to get 300 and get this whole ordeal done with.

BTW I'm going to the game today to See Glavine give up 8 runs through 6 innings, and still start the 7th personally. So don't expect me to chime in when he sucks royally, sorry guys. |

I just want to say, I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Ralph Kiner. I'm glad that SNY didn't leave him out when they were created. I loved listening to him do games for so many years. Healey always annoyed me but Kiner made it enjoyable.

WOW, Keith's wife is smoking hot. Hopefully I'm not mistaken.
I loved seeing Koosman out and about. And I forgot to say earlier, my favorite booth ever was Kiner + Seaver. Not sure if you could have a booth with more knowledge about the game than those two. |

Mets, please be more frustrating to watch. The pitcher walked Glavine to lead off an inning and he is stranded on 2nd.
