Just got off the phone with one of my better friends from way back. I love this guy, he always makes me feel better, and he's so rational and makes a lot of sense (unlike most chicks). I'm definately giving him a visit sometime soon, to have good old fun and learn to appreciate other relationships again. Somehow this incident has also made me feel the need for making some kind of extra progress on a personal level, so I'm thinking of using all the positive energy i can gather into improving areas of my life that will show results with hard work and dedication, like practicing more on my horn, writing more music, listening to more music, exercising more (just signed up for a gym again). I'm starting with something really basic and simple, but that actually requires some dedication, and that's getting to bed early, sleeping more and still be getting up earlier. Late nights are mostly spent drinking/intarnets/poker/wasting time/thinking about my ex (ie. not constructive or efficient and not helping me reach personal goals). I'm planning on making schedules for stuff to get done every day, to create good habits and routines out of important things that are currently draining my energy because they aren't structured as of now. Some exercise in the mornings to get started, practising before school etc, will probably give me more time and energy in the evenings to do whatever i want while still getting the progress I want. Doing good with the poker is a secondary goal, but I think this will also be positively affected by having good routines, by generally feeling better about myself and also by structuring the sessions/reviews. I need to learn to appreciate who I am and make myself the best I can be, just for myself. This is a lot easier to talk about, than actually do, so I'm writing this to create extra incentive and expectation. By all means, please ask me how this is going and harass me if I'm not practising as I preach. I might post some of schedules here, to make it easier to bust my ass for not following it. Just writing in this thread (which seemed kind of awkward at first) has shown to be good for me, to think out loud/vent, and I've also been given a lot of good advice. The first thing I'm going to do is getting to bed early, something I've been really ignoring for a long time. I fear I would experience the same issues with other girls you've had, but with time I'll try to let impulses control me rather than old fears and false expectations. FEDEX SUCKS SO HARD
If the company I ordered my 30" monitor from shipped via UPS then I'd have it in my possession by 9am tomorrow by driving 3 miles and signing for it at their station. However, FedEx: - will not hold my package and let me come pick it up at their office (and if they did allow me, which they do with some packages, the office is 20 [censored] miles away regardless) - will not let me specify a time window to receive the delivery - will not let me change the address on the package So now I have to [censored] wait for the company I ordered it from to call FedEx and get it shipped to my work so I can pick it up there. So [censored] gay. I'm going to stop ordering from companies that ship through FedEx. |
