Re: ***** Clash of the Titans, Week 9: NE @ Ind*****
[ QUOTE ]
who thought the game was rather "meh." I agree that in the championship game, with Marvin Harrison back, it should be fun to watch. [/ QUOTE ] Yea but does Harrison make up for playing a road game? I just don't know if IND can come into NE and beat this team, its close to a push on the road for the Pats and you have to give them a decent edge at home, maybe 5-6 points long term. This was a pretty huge win for NE since it essentially is a 2 game swing for HFA. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Colts did nothing in the first half, hucking the ball and getting crappy PI calls is far from dominating. If one of those does not get called, its 14 or 21-3 Pats early. The Colts with every advantage in this one blew it. They are a DOME TEAM still and I look forward to watching you tards freeze your butts off in January...if you can get by Tennessee. [/ QUOTE ] I don't understand how no PIs = points for the Patriots. [/ QUOTE ] There is no effin way we agree on something. Retract your statement plz. [/ QUOTE ] LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. You first, you're the Patriots guy. [/ QUOTE ] Grrrr. Fine. OMG, the Colts are so lucky that the refs basically gift-wrapped the game for them and they still couldn't take advantage. Peyton Manning is a hack and Tom Brady is who Joe Montana prays to at night. |

Re: ***** Clash of the Titans, Week 9: NE @ Ind*****
I'd say division games are the hardest games each year for each team and going on the road against divison teams is the hardest thing to do in the NFL.
And you shouldn't bet on a team that is in the midst of a 3 game road stretch with an assload of injuries on the defense with a backup QB and their starting LT suspended for the 1st half(I bet them too... ) |

[ QUOTE ] Colts did play on the road against each of their divison opponents. [/ QUOTE ] So they were at home against each of their non-division opponents? In other words, I do not know what point you are trying to make. And wtf dude, I picked Jax +3. Your team sucks and is making me look foolish. [/ QUOTE ] Sooner or later you'll come around and realize that at least half, if not most of those early Saints losses were flukes |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Colts outplayed the Pats in my opinion. I am not sure how we came away with a victory. The Colts are far better than I had them pegged. Looking forward to SB 41 1/2 [/ QUOTE ] Bolded is correct. The difference in the Pats and Colts stats thus far has been largely schedule. Pats had a better gameplan today though, also, Peyton picked a great day to suck a dick. Cody [/ QUOTE ] Schedule? The Pats and Colts schedule hasn't been all that different in terms of difficulty. [/ QUOTE ] Huh? COdy [/ QUOTE ] Schedule? The Pats and Colts schedule hasn't been all that different in terms of difficulty. [/ QUOTE ] Right you said that, but you're either ignoring that the COlts play in the AFC South (the toughest division in football) and the Pats play in the AFC East (a division where teams have wins because they play each other and one of them has to). For every game so far the COlts have played a team .500 or better (giving NO credit at 0-0). That Pats have played awful teams. They beat them unmercifully, so it's not like they're soft, but ignoring the strength of schedule here and touting the high numbers doesn't make alot of sense. Historical note, the last team to go 14-0 played only one winning team that year. It takes alot of things comming together to run the table and the Pats, save for games with DAL IND and PIT, have the schedule to do so. Cody [/ QUOTE ] Using opponents records before a game is severely flawed. Much like using preseason rankings in trying to rank college teams. |

I'm really surprised how healthy Moss has been this year.

Re: ***** Clash of the Titans, Week 9: NE @ Ind*****
The Colts and Patriots have combined to play four good teams, the Pats played the Cowboys and Chargers and the Colts have played the Titans and the Buccaneers. Then you have a mess of like the Jaguars, the Browns, the Redskins, the Ravens, the Bills. The bottom of NE's schedule is a little weaker than the bottom of IND's schedule but it's overall pretty even.

Cody/Richard,
Saints sucked. Broncos suck. Panthers aren't very good. Please don't pretend that those were all at least .500 ball clubs when the played the Colts please. |

I'm not willing to admit there was any reason to believe the Saints were a good team at 1-4. Or 2-4. You will never convince me of this. |
