Explain flop check please. A gazillion worse overpairs call you here.

I'm fairing really badly against their coldcalling range, on this flop. I also give BTN a chance to act and see what the others do. Same thing for the turn. Now that the flop is checked through I see what the first raiser does (who is solid, unlike the others).

Turn is not a spade and with the action on the flop and as it comes back to me I'm fairing much much better against their ranges. I'm really only worried about BTN slowplaying a monster, but that's not very often and my push is good I think.

UTG is a TAG, the other two are monkeys btw.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why are you faring really baddly on this flop vs. their cold-calling range? That makes no sense. Most non-idiots cold-call 3bets with 99-QQ, maybe AK. You crush that range on this flop.

And if they are indeed idiots, then their cold-call of your 3bet says almost nothing about their range, maybe just that they don't have COMPLETE garbage.

Uh don't 4-bet this guy with KK if you're folding to a shove, I feel like this is the 4th time I've had to say this about KK pf vs ultra-nits.

[/ QUOTE ]

hmm ok, the flop comes w/ an A, we fold.
but most of the time its gonna be under cards and we're getting stacked anyways, so surely this is the way to lose the least monies?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. See, you are actually making a bigger $$ mistake by turning your hand into a bluff.

Do some calcs and figure out how big a mistake folding to a push is if he has AK (in dollars).

And then consider what happens when the nit folds. Well, you just cost your self 80BBs or so, because he sure as hell didn't fold AA.

It's about making the play that has the highest EV, not about "losing the least monies". If you're already convinced your KK is no good, why are you bluffing with it? You can't bluff someone off of the nuts.
