In the Pokernews video, Scotty says that he played bad after getting up to 16mil. But the key hand he lost he played just fine. Like most poker players, he perceives good cards as "being in the zone" and bad cards as "playing bad."

Here is the key hand he lost his chips on, where he played fine:

Featured Table: Philip Hilm Doubles Through Scotty Nguyen
Tuan Lam has the button in seat 1, Scotty Nguyen raises from the small blind to 530,000, and Philip Hilm calls from the big blind. The flop comes , Nguyen bets 600,000, and Hilm calls. There is now 2.36 million in the pot.

The turn card is the , Nguyen checks, Hilm bets 1.2 million, Nguyen moves all in, and Hilm immediately calls with for a set of fives. Nguyen shows for a pair of queens, and he's drawing dead. (The meaningless river card is the .)

The crowd goes silent as the chip stacks are counted down to see how many chips Scotty Nguyen has left.

Philip Hilm has exactly 6.845 million. Scotty Nguyen has about 9.195 million. Hilm doubles up to about 16.05 million in chips. Nguyen is knocked all the way down to about 2.35 million.

Good job, IE doesn't copy the cards. Get Firefox already as many people have mentioned already.

nit

Your post isn't readable. Unless people already know the hand it is useless.

I think he is more upset with the way you approached it, the "good job" part I assume

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not upset at all. I recognized his post as venting over the results of the recent eliminations, having very little to do with my post, just a convenient target of venting for him.

And that is typical behavior of a nit.

True words. I didn't even respond, somebody else did, then it erupted. But I had trouble getting slapped down for grammar from someone who confused to and too, slightly different from intentional non-punctuation.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please let's drop the grammar issue.

I'm just saying that these types of hands were posted many times in the thread yesterday, with almost no complaints, as it takes extra time for the WSOP site to update. It may be that there are more posters with Firefox on the thread today, so that is why it was more tolerated, but not everyone has/will get these programs.

Where's Raymond Rahme?
Raymond Rahme has been absent for the last six hands. We don't where he went. We think he might have been in the bathroom. Ah . . . just as I was typing this, he wandered back up to the table.

According to the tournament announcer, Rahme has been skipping most of the hands aside from his blinds. We haven't noticed that since ESPN's cameras have been obstructing our view of his seat.

Anybody????!
