i think i've seen like 3 good swings all game from the red sox

1).Tek's HR
2). Papi's 2b
3). Papi's lineout

Youks hit a bullet up the middle, a lot of Manny's foul balls he was right on (even his two ground balls to short were rockets), Lowell slammed a changeup about 400 feet...

But overall, I'd agree it didn't seem like they had a cohesive approach to Westbrook. But give him some credit. The ump being all over the fuccking place didn't help anything, either.

jur,

Yeah, I know. 2003 actually doesn't bother me that much anymore. It's all good.

At the very least, it's been a very good series.

I know you were being (semi-)facetious with the Wakefield jab, but it really is unfair to blame him for the Boone shot. He won both his starts in that series in dominant fashion, and was also a bullpen savior in game 4 of the ALDS vs. Oakland (games 3-5 of that series is a really underrated stretch of games in recent Sox history). He had also come in to pitch a 1-2-3 10th inning that game. The Sox were doomed after the Grady/Pedro debacle, anyway.

I never blamed Wakefield for that and anybody who did should have thought he made up for in the 2004 ALCS.

Or how about being awesome for the Sox forever and basically playing for free? Would that make up for it?
