Re: No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice Q&A Thread

I worked in radio for over 10 years and believe I could do a decent job at an audio-version of 2+2 works. [/ QUOTE ] Why don't you put a sound file up on your blog and let 2+2ers be the judge? (What's the url for your blog?) |

Re: No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice Q&A Thread
Ed:
For a slightly better than breakeven new player who has read GSIH and who has played 200 1-table SNGs, 200 shorthanded (6 players or less) SNGs, and 200 heads up SNGs, would you recommend he read your book first, or HOH 1 and 2 first? He is sure to read your book and HOH 1 and 2. My question is what would be the better order of reading? And where would TOP come into this recommended reading order? Thanks. |

Re: No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice Q&A Thread
For SNGs (at least full ring sngs) you should be spending your time on ICM calculations ... learn to pushbot first, then learn to play postflop.

I guess I'd read TOP and then NLH. Then the HOH books. To be honest, I haven't thought too much about this recommendation. |

Re: No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice Q&A Thread
Very much looking forward to this and will be ordering it as soon as it is available. By the way, SSHE was brillant so you know you have set the bar pretty high!

Re: One correct style.
I think the company that the preorder links to is associated with 2+2 somehow.

Re: No Limit Hold \'em: Theory and Practice Q&A Thread
The object is to be a great nolimit holdem player in general, regardless of whether its SNG, multitable, live game, brick and mortar, home game, etc. Not just SNGs.
