I love it when there is 2 short stacks at the table that are arguing about why the other one sucks. They just keep going on and on about what the right play is, and how the other one is prolly a near busto fish. It alwasy makes me LOL when I see this for some reason.

I am super happy that our little Monday night game is free of nitty table captains and full of fish or at least decent players who just want to have fun more than anything. Gah, if it was loaded with people who critiqued each others' plays there's no way I would attend.

Wait, I just realized I have something on topic to contribute to this thread.

I won my Monday night donkament last night for the second time in three weeks, with a 4th place out of twelve sandwiched in between (got my money back on that one). Well, both times me and the other guy chopped because it was getting late and we had roughly equal stacks.

This game is ridiculously loose. One chick just LOVES sooted cards. Loves loves. When I turned over a third heart on the river last night when I was heads up against her I would have folded to any bet - if she bet a cheese doodle I would have folded. She made a big bet though after just calling my previous big bets so I just folded and she showed me her two (low) hearts. I ended up busting her on the bubble when she was bluffing with total air and I had a pair and a flush draw.

woohoo! nice job Tuq!!

Anyone have thoughts on Chinese Poker? Looking for a change of pace every now and again from NLHE tourneys with my friends.

Anyone play Chinese? like it? recommend it? Love it? Hate it?

One of my friends really wants to try this game.
Please comment.

I obviously misplayed these hands:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (2 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

Button (t1500)
Hero (t1500)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Button raises to t60, Hero raises to t200, Button raises to t1500, Hero calls t1300 (All-In).

Flop: (t3000) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: (t3000) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t3000) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: t3000

Hero (t1750)
BB (t1250)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises to t600, BB raises to t1250, Hero calls t650.

Flop: (t2500) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t2500) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t2500) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t2500

Results in white below:
BB has 5s 5h (four of a kind, fives).
Hero has Ah Ad (two pair, aces and fives).
Outcome: BB wins t2500.

KQ sooted (obv). What really stung, it was the very first hand of the tournament.

dave,

I guess calling KQs in the very first hand hand of a donkament is pretty dumb, but I've seen a lot worse, such as the other hand you provided...
