I think dogfighting will wind up the same. It would be a little different if Vick had won some superbowls or been racking up MVP seasons.

I think the staying power of this story really hinges on how much it screws up Vick's career. If he never plays again, yeah, it's big. If he gets off, it's a footnote. It's a long fall from consensus #1 draft pick to jail.

OMFG. I've been away from TV for the last few days. Just saw the Jeremy Craap report on ESPN. This network has completely lost all journalistic credibility with its whitewashing and David Stern/NBA homerism on the issue.

I did think it was pretty effin funny that an NBA referee had some serious anger management issues.
