What is your friend going to use to get all the blood and brain fragments out of his carpet? It sucks that he is going to have to pay for carpet cleaners to come in. If I was your friend I would sue the robbers families for the cost of cleaning my carpet.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm... I would just move. Think of everytime you come in your living room you will remember you blew a guys head off in there.

For emotional health, it's time to move.

[/ QUOTE ]

Would it be the same for you if you owned the place rather than rented?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I would have to be in that guys shoes if I owned it, but I am leaning towards selling - so the answer is yes.

p.s. by real estate law (in most states) you don't have to disclose that a person died in a house unless the prospective buyer inquires about it. So you might get away with selling the house for profit

Really you guys who say you'd just shoot someone dead are insane, do you really want to live your life knowing you killed someone, to me that's the most hideous thing you could do other than rape or child molestation. Killing another human would be an impossibility for me.

[/ QUOTE ]

How would you feel if a thug shot and murdered your friend in front of you and you did nothing?

I never want to be in a situation like this, but if I was and I had a gun I hope I could act as OP's friend did.

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly.

FWIW, I would move just because scumbags have family too, and among scumbags, retaliation can be standard.

Also because it's pretty common for the police to take your gun as evidence, I understand. So now you're unarmed and the freak's freaky family and friends come a-knockin' ...

If more people did this there would be much fewer home invasions and robberies.

Props to ur friend.

The world is simply a better place without that jackhole in it. I'm going to imagine it wasn't that guys first robbery and going to also imagine it wouldn't have been his last.

Chances of a retaliation from dead guy's friends and family?

[/ QUOTE ]

My first consideration; I'd assume that would happen.

I think there are statistics from Europe that show that having easy access to guns reduces violent crime (except for homicide) by quite a bit, so I wouldn't be surprised. I'll see if I can find something.

can anyone give a reason why the world is not a better place without the headless robber?

[/ QUOTE ]

Prison rapists now have one less potential victim.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is poor logic. Not everyone that goes into the system are rape victims. Many will become successful prison rapists themselves.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL

I found this very uplifting.

And we don't know if he would have stopped at robbery either, if he has always stopped at robbery before if he's previously done this, or if he would always stop at robbery again.

All your guns or just one? as long as it's only the one I used on the armed-robber i'd still be just fine.
