Re: 5.20 sopranos

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] My prediction: After the Jersey crew wipes out the NY crew, all the boys will be celebrating at the Bing. Suddenly, AJ walks in strapped with explosives and blows the place up in a suicide mission after having joined the Mujahideen to resolve his depression and show dad who is boss. Or at least that is how I would end it. [/ QUOTE ] That would pretty much be the dumbest, worst possible way to end the series. [/ QUOTE ] Clearly, Janice resolving to become a stripper at the Bing would be a far worse ending. [/ QUOTE ] Why not just have them all start singing rock opera with flashy sets and a snazzy theme? They could call it "Wop Rock" |

Re: 5.20 sopranos
Wow, an ending like 40-Year Old Virgin would be so awesome.

We would all be remiss to let this thread go by without mentioning:

Re: 5.20 sopranos
Another Sirius/Sopranos tie-in: Stevie van Zandt appeared on the Howard Stern show Tuesday morning. Some highlights:
--Howard asked Stevie, "Isn't Gandolfini nuts for wanting to quit? This is the greatest role he'll ever play! You don't want to quit, do you?" Stevie said he certainly doesn't want it to end, he's having a blast. But he can understand why Gandolfini does: he has to work 16-18 hours a day. Stevie said, "We did one episode about Silvio wanting to be boss. It was really the only episode centered around me. I was working 18-hour days, it was KILLING me. And Jimmy has to do this all the time! If we're shooting seven pages today, Jimmy's probably in five of them. It's tough." --Stevie explained that one of the reasons why so many of the actors have held out for more money at one time or another has to do with there being no residuals in anyone's deal. "Whatever you make now, that's ALL you're going to make. If they syndicate it, or sell millions of DVD's, we don't see any of it." --Howard asked, "What did David Chase see in you, to cast you as a mobster?" Stevie joked that the E Street Band has always been like The Rat Pack, with Springsteen as Sinatra, himself in the Dean Martin role, and Clarence as an overweight Sammy. --Finally, most important question, and you can read it without worrying about possible spoilers: Q: I know you can't tell us much about these upcoming final two episodes, but just tell me one thing: Are we going to see a lot of violence? A: (unequivocally) Yes. --Howard and Stevie spent the rest of their time together talking about music, as if anyone cares about that. |

Re: 5.20 sopranos
Van Zandt also said something along the lines of, "If they want to make a Sopranos movie it will have to be a prequel."

Re: 5.20 sopranos
I just watched the show last night and was blown away.
I used to say that the first season was the best; and I still think it had the most comic moments, highlighted by the scenes with Tony's mom. But this season may well be the most dramatic, ironic and multi-leveled. Sopranos is the rare show that actually gets better as you reflect and analyze it. |
