How does one interpret from the OP that the friend DEMANDS to sleep in the bed and is pulling a POWER play?? It could have been a simple request so that she avoids the inconvenience of OP walking through while she sleeps. Also, I am sure she will be showering in a bathroom joined to the bedroom and it's a matter of convenience for changing etc.

This is a no-brainer IMO. Give up the bed and the weekend if necessary. But do it without bitterness and acting as though you have made a great sacrifice. If your GF is solid, it will pay dividends.

haha, believe me, i'd be happy to clear out for the weekend, as i'm not a big fan of the friend. but she's my gf's closet friend and i didn't get along with her that well last time i saw her (when i met her) so i think it'd be good to try to get to know her better and hopefully get to like her better. for my sanity and b/c it would mean something to the gf.
