If by "expert" we mean "pick the final standings & eventual champs in the preseason & correctly identify which draft picks will pan out", everyone in every sport is a retard.

Simmons' wife pwnd him on the NFL picks, and she'd've pwnd Peter King, Paul Zimmerman and everyone else. SI picked a Carolina-Miami Super Bowl.

I do think Simmons is an entertaining writer, he admits upfront he's a homer, and he at least will make a prediction and offer plausible reasons for it.

I much prefer him to the usual "every coach is a great coach; every play is a great play; etc." guys.
