Unconfirmed rumor regarding Chexx Inc

My bank said the check looked suspicious, so they called US BANK and gave them the name Chexx Inc. and the numbers on the check, and then my bank said ok and cashed it for me.

apparently a number of people are calling them up saying stupid things like "get some balls you canadian idiots".

This does not help the situation.

Do these people realize that they are putting many of the outstanding checks at risk by doing something like this.

This post in general is borderline irresoponsible since it could just cause them to shut the door immediately.

Final straw for me. I'm folding. Hopefully regulations take a turn for the better in the future.

I'll miss playing 1/2 NL recreationally on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

FYI:
I just got a check by Fedex from Absolute I requested on 1/29. It says in tiny letters at the top "U.S. Bank" so that's where I took it, and they cashed it No Problemo. But I did hurry out today 2/1, since all that I read on here about them. Good Luck everybody.
