AND HOW IS PATRICK EWING NOT INVOLVED IN THIS DICUSSSIONS!?

Because he in no way belongs in the discussion. He was a good center who was elevated to ridiculous levels by the NYC media.

I swear, I got so sick of hearing "Olajuwon and Ewing, the two best centers in the NBA right now," which was like saying "The USA and Canada, the two greatest military powers in North America right now."

In Ewing's dreams he was never the center than Hakeem was.

I would put David Robinson ahead of Walton any day. Also, dominating in college is totally different than dominating in the NBA.

[/ QUOTE ]

David Robinson was soft.

[/ QUOTE ]

and yet, still better than a prime Walton.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you give Walton a pair of feet that work, he is 10 times better than soft-as-kleenex DR.

Walton loves Arvydas Sabonis. Walton often talks about how great he was on the Russian olympic team when he was young and how good he was when he finally came to the NBA with no knees.

Arvydas was a great passing big guy, and so was Walton.

Count me in the "I like Walton" camp. My dad was a deadhead though so I may be biased.

I think s healthy Walton would have dominated the NBA just as he did at UCLA.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think an alive Len Bias would have dominated the NBA. Therefore, he is one of the all time NBA greats.

[during a dream sequence]
Commentator: Patrick Ewing actually makes the jump shot, and the Knicks win an important game!

Unfortunately, this doesn't have the awesome scene between Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing that I was looking for but it's still awesome.

Walton in his prime was nowhere near the scorer David was, they were both great defenders and rebounders so I don't know what you're talking about.

10K madden 07 fight yo?

I will say one nice thing about Walton, he doesnt favor his son AT ALL, youd never even know he was his kid listening to him during a game. I remember when he came in the league I was just dreading listening to Bill do a game he was in cuz I was sure it was going to be even worse than his normal awful commentary. So I give him props for that.

He is still a giant idiot tho.

[/ QUOTE ]

wow couldn't disagree more. By far my favorite announcer of all time, and I'd watch ANY sporting event if he was commenting on it.

You mean top 4 ever? No way.

[/ QUOTE ]

i agree with you, but it seems Rick doesn't.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just doesn't make sense. Wilt/Shaq/Hakeem are pretty much locks as top 3, however you choose to order them. Can Walton beat out Russell, Jabbar, Robinson, etc. for the 4 spot? I don't think so.

[/ QUOTE ]I'd put Russell on that list and make it "locks for top 4." If anything I'd take Hakeem off the list for Russell.
