Re: Asking out a girl from class I haven\'t really talked to
I agree with the above poster, you don't need more friends and that is all she wants to be ... ever. Forget about her and move on, don't even bother replying to her message.
edit: Anyone else notice that she lets him pay for dinner , open car door etc and then claims she had "no idea".I bet she was on the rocks wih the othe dude but decided to take him back at the last minute. I think you should invoice her for her half of the food and a mileage / gas ussage fee. |

she found me on facebook and sent me this Hi Bryan, its XXXX. I got your message from yesterday and I was kind of suprised. I thought we were going out to lunch to get to know eachother as friends but after hearing your message I can tell it was not that way. In that case I should have told you this on Monday but I am seeing someone right now. Im sorry I didn't tell you this earlier. I think you are really sweet though and your knowledge of 24 is unparalleled I would like to get to know you better but I'll let you decide on that one. Im really sorry Bryan. XXXX now what edit: I should add that ideally I would like to ascertain if this is a "I would date you, but I'm seeing someone else" versus a "let's just be friends" because the former I can maybe live with but the second one I can't [/ QUOTE ] yuck |

Re: Asking out a girl from class I haven\'t really talked to
You definitely talked about 24 too much on your date. I don't see why you'd want to talk about a show she doesn't watch on a first date (well, apparently it wasn't a date). First dates = listening to girl, paying attention, keeping her happy and talking.
That message is damning. She's either a) lying or b) really stupid. Either way, I think you've got to cut your losses. Don't become her friend. You have nothing to gain as it will never become a relationship and will only serve to 'hurt' you. If you cut ties with her, not necessarily explicitly, you probably have a better chance of her coming to you and you have no chance of getting 'hurt'. |

We were talking about TV shows in general and I mentioned it was one I watch, and she seemed interested because she'd heard of it or her friends watch it or something but she didn't understand the premise. Trust me, everything on our not-date went fine. I go to Cal Poly. |

I think the only classy thing to do now is to post a pic of her.

Re: Asking out a girl from class I haven\'t really talked to
I forget if it was in this thread or not, but I did say I would post pics once either we were happily together or pretty much all hope was lost. Seems like the latter situation has struck, so now that there isn't really anything to trainwreck here you go.
I really appreciated all the support you guys gave me. I'm sorry to have let you down. |
