Yah definitely. The Nirvana covers of the Meat Puppet's songs are all better than the originals. Although I don't know if it counts because I think some member(s) of MP actually played in the set.

Wow. I have never heard anyone say that before. Never. They brutalized Lake Of Fire. But then again, I was a huge Meat Puppets fan, and the second album is one of my ten favorite cds of all time. Personal preference, I guess.

Most covers of Dylan tunes are pretty bad. They take all the texture and feeling out of the songs. Never been a big Hendrix fan, but "All along the Watchtower" is probably the best cover of a Dylan tune. I still can't say it is better than the original.
