thx for posting updates.
this is not nearly as good a year to gamble on ai as last year imo. I might just try to end up with some reasonable return on my investment. I didn't do bad, all my picks are pretty much in the money right now but I missed out opn Chris and I have a gut feeling he's overvalued. |

Yeah, position may be more important on AI than it is in poker. Just as overlooked too.

Yeah, but it had absolutely nothing to do with position. You honeslty think singing is that related to poker? Bucky although he sang better than Ace this week, just does not have the fan base, the personality, the look, etc.... it had nothing to do with position.
These singers aren't changing their song/routine based on what the people ahead of them do. It is all decided well in advance on their own. |

I think you're misunderstanding me. The position relates to how they are perceived by the audience, I'm not suggesting it affects how they sing or perform in any way.
The most obvious evidence of this is how the person who closes the show is almost always safe and often regarded as the best, or one of the best, performances of the night. I believe it is a psychological thing. Audiences tend to view the closing as a "grand finale" whereas the opening act is generally a forgetable performace that just serves to get the ball rolling so to speak. I'm sure if you looked at the bottom 3 on a weekly basis it would contain a disproportionate number of singers who opened the show while the opposite would be true of the closers. |
