Re: Absolute Poker Scandal: An Inside Job
[ QUOTE ]
I have some intimate knowledge of the KGC, I was involved in a site was hosted out of Kahnawake Mohawk Territory and was (still is) licensed by the KGC. There are 1000's of sportsbooks/poker rooms or casinos that are hosted or have servers located in Kahnawake Mohawk Territory. I actually worked in an office that was located in Kahnawake and spent 3 years making the trek from Montreal to Kahnawake to do work at the office that was located in the Plaza where a few of the internet sites do customer service or run their operations. Pretty much every big poker site or casino at leasts co-locates their servers in Kahnawake because of its location. Sites that are hosted in KGC must have a gaming license before they can locate at Mohawk Internet Technologies, (MIT). The reason you are seeing the Mohawk.ca domain attached to the superuser is because Absolute likely has their mail server at MIT (in kahnawake) and it kind implicitly guarantees that this whole thing was an inside job. If there was any doubt before that someone from absolute whether it was an employee or owner, was involved in this cheating operation. I think that doubt has been removed now. I can also categorically state that the KGC in no way has any ownership interest in Absolute Poker, I don't think they do a very good job of policing their license holders, but its not because they are crooked or own pieces of the sites. They just have far too many sites operating out of MIT and can't possibly keep up with the workload. I'd also like to add that Scott Huff and I are doing a weekly radio show at Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok's site(thepokerroad) and will be covering this topic. If anyone has some intimate knowledge or if Nat or whomever would like to come on the show PM me. Haralabos [/ QUOTE ] from this I get that the Kahnawake Territory is just a server farm and to be "licensed" by them is to pay money so you can host your site there. There is nobody that oversees it and the commission is just there to take fees/rent nothing more. I doubt they have ever turned anybody down for a license if they were paid |

We need a volunteer to conduct covert ops as an undercover intern. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the enemy headquarters and blog about it:

I was actually going to ask if there was any precedent for KGC to revoke a license, because it seems like that's probably what should happen here. |

It's something more. TBH, I'm scared to post more stuff at this point. (Note I haven't received a threat, it's just what I think might happen) I might remove myself from this whole thing from this point forward. Discussing the issue with family. [/ QUOTE ] n8, thank you for everything you've done for all poker players everywhere. Do what you must. Also, if anyone has any money on AP, now would seem to be a good time to get it out. |

[ QUOTE ] Absolute Poker and the Absolute Poker website are solely owned and operated by Tokwiro Enterprises ENRG, Route 138, Kahnawake, Quebec J0L 1B0. Tokwiro Enterprises ENRG is owned by a Mohawk of Kahnawake and is operated from the sovereign nation of the Mohawks of Kahnawake, located near Montreal Quebec. The Mohawks of Kahnawake have an aboriginal right to conduct online gaming that is recognized and protected by the Canadian Constitution [/ QUOTE ] Combining this knowledge with Nat's latest scare post, and the fact that Nat basically confirmed this, I'm still a little confused. |

I did not mean to confirm ownership details. I don't know ownership details.

Re: Absolute Poker Scandal: An Inside Job
Exciting implications incoming:
If you guys remember, there were two people watching Potripper's table. One is #363; the other is assumed to be Potripper. That second account's email address is scott@rivieraltd.com. I have talked to a lot of people around the poker world about the IP address used by #363 and the rivieraltd.com email. The IP address cross-references to someone named Scott Tom, who also appears to be an owner at AP. It should also be noted that the first part of the rivieraltd.com email is "scott@". edited post to be clearer |
