Each to his own I guess. I'll take 79-76 over 110-108 with half the stopages. I can't stand all the stopages. Maybe I'm in the minority.

And vintage Eric Snow right there. In the paint, 1 foot from the bucket, with a smaller man on him and he passes it out to the top of the key.

Sit Lebron for the whole game why don't you. It'll be an interesting VORP experiment.

poofler,

forgive me for actually using numbers.

in 2006-7 nba teams committed, on average, 1822 fouls. that works out to 22.22 fouls per game, per team.

in 1983-4 nba teams committed, on average, 2112 fouls. that works out to 25.76 fouls per game, per team.

in 1989-90, the height of the bad boys reign, nba teams committed, on average, 1907 fouls. that works out to 23.26 fouls per game, per team.

in 1997-8, jordan's last championship, nba teams comitted, on average, 1837 fouls per game. that works out to 22.40 fouls per game, per team.

so, uh, what do you want to return the game to?

The Cavs have no answers. This looks like men against boys.

So I guess I'm wrong, it was just an observation. No need to be a dick about it.

nah, it's cool. it's just annoying when people talk about "returning to the old days when men were men" and they're calling fewer fouls than ever. also, i'm a bit pissed because we can't HIT A [censored] SHOT.

OMG, these are the worst NBA commercials ever: the Harmony chorus & David Blaine.
