.. and Barry ... you people?!? wtf is that suppose to mean?

I originally wrote "You guys" but didn't want to appear sexist, so I changed to a worse word.

Didn't Brad live at the Bellagio for some time? Isn't he a high stakes NL player? How come they never played together before...

[/ QUOTE ]

Neither Phil nor I had played in the 100-200 no-limit game that Brad played in. We play in a higher stakes mixed game. I did try to get some info on my opponents, although I didn't really do much. But Phil doesn't prepare at all. He assumes he will figure things out in the first hour. His lack of networking probably cost him $300k this time.

Barry

[/ QUOTE ] Good point.

During that huge hand with Booth/Ivey who was running their mouth? It sounded like P.A. I was even getting pissed listening to him rant while such a big hand was going on. Very immature IMO.

What Barry's saying makes a lot of sense. If Phil thinks he's some rich businessman amateur, folding there is right since amateurs usually don't take big risks on bluffs, and an amateur might also think that's a good way to play AA.

I still don't really like Brad's play since Brad has to assume that Phil knows who he is.

It was David Benyamine. It was some joke I couldn't quite understand. After Ivey said "I wished you'd put the chips in, that cash looks just so damn sweet" Benyamine says "He just says that cause you don't need to wait at a ..." and I couldn't understand that last part. Just some harmless comment, it most likely didn't in any way affect Ivey's decision.

I couldn't understand the whole thing, but I think he was talking about how Ivey would rather the chips since he could go gamble with them in the casino right after the game.

"He just says that cause you don't even have to wait at the main cage."

I think Benyamine was saying that cash was better because he didn't have to go to the cage to cash it in. No IRS notification, so no taxation on the money.

I thought it was something about how cash was good cuz Ivey wouldn't make it to the cage with chips (alluding to the pit games).

It's a good thing the IRS doesn't have cable TV.
