do not watch pokerface!!! what you're about to see is maybe the biggest blow-up in televised poker history.. damn it, booth!! you better be angling and come through like a champ in the last episode!! p.s. watch booth angle the dealer like a true greaseball.. it gave me goosebumps [/ QUOTE ] Fear not, #1 Bond fan. Bond has been in worse situations. Yes, right now there's a giant axe approaching his family jewels, but as he recalls his fingerblating session (that you previously mentioned) with the lovely Shana Sucksalot, his manhood is rising. This is after all, heads-up play. Bond is safe for now, but I fear we might be hearing the evil words of Antonius Glutious Maximus in the next episode. "Did you really think you could beat me, Mr. Bond? I am far too cunning to be defeated by a man in an elephant's suit. This time I get the girl! Shana Sucksalot is Mine! Bwaahaahaa!" Stay tuned. |

Once again, I didn't mind the dead silence throughout much of this episode (#4). I thought I even heard crickets at one point...but I think that was just Patrick's watch? That thing needs it's own zip code, it's so bloody big.
Still, Brad and Patrick spoke enough times and offered enough humor to keep me entertained. I'm actually glad I got the chance to watch this, with only a small amount of commentary in it. I was hanging on every word uttered by the players. Previously, I had thought that ALL the heads-up matches should also include Hellmuth or someone else, to help inject some energy into the show. Here, that might have killed some of my enjoyment. I'm glad Patrick's been doing well, so I can root for the underdog, Booth (Mr.Bond), even more! I thought many of the hands were good, and the boards co-operated nicely to make them even better. Of course, Patrick's play impressed me the most, and it was a nice change from last night. So, because of the small blinds and big chipstacks, we got what most of us were expecting, great play, and nice tension. Sorry, I just can't find a flaw (Ali was bearable), so I have no choice but to give this a perfect score. Overall Grade: A+ (My favorite heads-up match...even with some terrible calls by Bond.) |

Don't all poker players do it. I know I do. "I knew you had a Royal Flush, but I thought maybe you might fold, if I went all-in?" Look ma, I'm leveling. |

In addition to the records it broke that Ali mentioned, I wonder if it also broke the record for the biggest percentage of hands shown in those first 3 episodes. With only 53 to choose from, we must have seen almost every hand, as opposed to most other weeks when the button skips all over the table.
