My GPA was pretty good, but not great, especially at the tough public high school I went to. I got an 800 on the SAT math and a 700 on the SAT verbal.

Hmm, math major at WM that went to a tough public high school - did you by chance go to TJ?

Earlier you gave us an idea of the hands you open with. If someone is reraising you alot preflop, will you tighten up your normal range, call the raises, or 3 bet preflop more often? Thanks for taking the time. I really appreciate it.

Hi Cts,

Many thanks for your visit to "the well", this has been a great read. Also thank you for your recent postings in the strategy / hand threads in this forum lately - I (and I'm sure many other SSNLers) really do appreciate the input from those who play much higher than we do.

My question, I don't think it has been asked yet:

What sites do you play? Are you exclusively Partygaming, or do you move about between many networks?

In recent weeks (post Monster) I have made a serious effort to discover greener pastures - and to my surprise there are many - although I suspect games at the levels you normally play fishy tables are maybe less common - what are your thoughts (if any) on the other poker networks?

THANK YOU for starting the thread that led to _dave_'s betpot AHK script.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea I'm really not sure how I even played with this before, it's such a great tool. THANKS DAVE!

For any SSNLers wondering wtf this is about, link here

It is an AutohotKey script that allows you to make mouse / keyboard buttons bet-pot or 3/4-pot or whatever you want on Party clients. Saves huge time and irritation dealing with the slider. Useful for the avid multitabler, but I suppose also for the beginning SSNLer who has trouble working out how big a pot sized raise should be. If you try it, feel free to PM me if you have any trouble getting it set up.

You reccomend 20 buy-ins before moving up, but is that per table?

So if i 3-table, do I need a total of 60 buy-ins? (yikes!)

Cts,

I am curious what I should be doing in $1/2 NL 6 max games when I'm in the CO or button with a hand like 22-66 and suited connectors 67 suited and up when I have 1 or 2 limpers.

I am always stuck between limping and raising the limpers.

Also Im interested in this general line. You are playing 6 max and have Axs in the cutoff.2 limpers in front and you limp. Flop is 9 8 4 with two spades (Say you have a6s).

You decide to bet (whats a solid amount here of the pot)

Say you are called by the button and are OOP on the turn and it blanks for you, say a Jd.

Whats your plan? Fire again?

cts,

just incase you don't go back into the thread, do you think you could please comment on turn play vs amoeba in my KK hand. Was what amoeba said about your likely thoughts spot on?

[/ QUOTE ]
In that hand I think you should have reraised more preflop, bet more on the flop, and I probably would have gotten all-in at some point. Nice read and nice fold though. I think amoeba's turn play was not very good, but hey everyone makes mistakes.
