Re: Commerce $1500NL vs Cunningham
Actually most players wouldn't have gone bust in AC's shoes because they would have made a signifigant raise preflop If they decided to flat call preflop, than I can see a lot of players going broke, yes. |

Re: River action
[ QUOTE ]
I decided to bet 4K. I was worried he might find a fold with AA/KK if I pushed, especially with the J on the river. He called the 4K with little hesitation. He then picked up his cards and kind of smirked like he got outdrawn. I'm pretty sure he had KK, maybe AA, but he didn't show. [/ QUOTE ] Interesting hypothetical for you... You are magically handed this thread right before you need to act. The river card comes and its a K (instead of J). What is your line? What's your line if river is A? -g |

Re: Commerce $1500NL vs Cunningham - in defense of the overbet
As I read the early pages of this thread I was thinking overbet too...
I have zero experience at these levels / these structures but I wonder; Is it totally inconcievable to re-raise a smaller stack with AQ? If you then proceed to overbet the flop it basically screams "AQ - TPTK good enough right?" Calling all the way from there and a river raise? Anyways - very interesting and educational post. |
