yeah, at the end when they replayed that scene with Nikki, Hurley and Sawyer, she most definitely said "I'm paralyzed".

I agree with what's been said, and my girlfriend who actually watched the show with me and hasn't seen an episode since season 1 agreed as well, that we have not seen the end of Paolo and Nikki. I'm not sure how they will survive being basically buried alive, but I'm sure that at some point they will come back. I did like how her eyes popped open as they were burying her though. During the course of my episode, my girlfriend kept saying "why don't they close their eyes, it's so creepy". Guess that's why

Something else I didn't see mentioned yet:

I don't remember exactly what Ben said when he was in the pearl, but didn't it basically imply that the only reason they kidnapped Walt was to lure Michael there with Jack (and Kate + Sawyer as leverage) so that he would do the operation? Did we know this already?

wait....maybe I missed something, but where exactly did Nikki get those spiders from? They clearly lost their luggage, and even if she found her luggage would she really bother keeping them the entire time?

Also how stupid would Nikki have to be to stay there and let the spiders bite her as well? Would she really have never thought that might happen and prepared for it?

I know one poster mentioned the smoke monster noise during the reappearance of the spiders. I'll watch it again later, but can anyone confirm this? If so, do we think it was the monster that bit Nikki?

my understanding is that tonight's episode was clipped together from several previous episodes where the characters had their scenes cut. i guess the writers decided to put all those scenes together and make one episode out of them and fill in a few gaps... and then kill them off.

also, it's understandable about the confusion about what nikki actually whispered before passing out. it was unintelligible at the beginning of the show and at the end it was clearly a different, more annunciated line.

For some reason, she and Paolo were keeping Artz's spiders and butterflies in their tent. Thats where she got them from. Although I have no idea why they kept them.

This was a very well written episode. Not at all what I was expecting, but I was thoroughly entertained.

I was under the impression that they already had michael (or walt) captured at that time. I could be wrong.
