nice call dev, without reads what made you call ? the old "how much u got speech" ? or the fact u had him for a young internet guy ( steriotyped as very aggro)

[/ QUOTE ]

The fact that he initially called a raise and then shoved. IMO, top of his range is JJ or AQ. But, usually weaker.

[/ QUOTE ]

If this hand were played online and say it was villian's 20th hand or so and he hadn't done anything crazy so far - do you still think top of his range is JJ or AQ?

Everyone feel free to answer.

Btw, vnh.

[/ QUOTE ]

Let's just say I never really give credit to a limp behind, or a call behind, followed by a shove.

Sometimes the call behind, if it's in a believable slow play situation, by someone that will slow play preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Three times in my last 2000 hands I've seen someone overlimp after two or three other limpers with AA. Twice they reraised a late position bets and once the guy saw a flop 7 ways.

All three lost.

I don't understand why anyone would play AA that way, but I've seen it repeatedly and at levels where the opponents should know better (2/4 and 5/10).

Another point Lacky,

You've posted two really bad runs. Everytime I've run that bad it's been because I've introduced some more mistakes into my game. May be variance makes me play bad, but IMHO you should not put bad runs down to variance immediately; in fact the opposite, you should immediately review your play. Here's an example from an $11r on saturday:

Situation: 245 left, 225 pay, I'm 5k below average chips and villain has sat on my right for over 100 hands. This is his second reraise. He has always shown the goods if the hand has gone to showdown, and is playing 7.5%/14% overall, but has just stepped up a gear as we've got close to the bubble. IMHO, I played this very badly and deserved to bust out. Villain has seen me get caught bluff reraising!

Karp,

I'm pretty good at the internet and this actually seems legit. FWIW, all they have done so far is send me an ID... nothing to download.

Boooo! I got the following from Stars:

Dear SlackaMcFly,

As part of our efforts to keep you playing on our site, PokerStars is introducing a new deposit feature. We have selected you for this notification as we are aware that your account contains an inconsequential bankroll, and would like to offer this new service to you.

Your PokerStars password has been e-mailed to those players with substantial amounts so that they may deposit to, and play on, your account.

We have taken these steps in the hopes that one or more decent players will take advantage of this new feature and build your account to an amount we all won't be embarassed of. We therefore strongly recommend that you make use of this feature as you have no choice and no skillz.

Regards,
PokerStars Fish-retention Team
