12 Person League

1QB
2RB
2WR
1FLEX

1. (10) Brian Westbrook RB
Good pick
2. (15) Maurice Jones-Drew RB
I don't like him, but in a 12 team league he's probably good for a #2
3. (34) Lee Evans WR
4. (39) Javon Walker WR
Good picks, curious to see who else was available here
5. (58) Philip Rivers QB
Reach imo. If you missed out on McNabb/Bulger I think you can get a comparable QB in the 7/8 range
6. (63) Reggie Brown WR
Ok, who else was available?
7. (82) San Diego DEF
Definite reach
8. (87) Tony Romo QB
See, Rivers isn't that much better than Romo and you got him ~30 picks later
9. (106) Chester Taylor RB
Hate only going after your third back here. You could have gotten someone better where you picked Rivers or SDG. You are really going to be hurting on matchups, and of the 3 RBs you have, only 1 is the "solo" back, and he's a constant injury concern
10. (111) Randy McMichael TE
11. (130) Donte' Stallworth WR
I'm blah on Stallworth. I keep hearing rumors he may not be the #2 in NE, but at this point in the draft he's probably good value
12. (135) Ronald Curry WR
13. (154) Jacksonville DEF
Why reach on SDG if you don't think they're good enough to start every week?
14. (159) Owen Daniels TE
Don't like a backup TE
15. (178) Matt Stover K

A draft to rate, and kicker help requested:
Standard Yahoo 10-team, 7th pick, 16 rounds

1. Shawn Alexander
2. Willis McGahee
3. Torry Holt
4. Lee Evans
5. Marshawn Lynch
6. Hines Ward
7. Carnell Williams
8. Vernon Davis
9. DJ Hackett
10. Jerricho Cotchery
11. Miami
12. Greg Jennings
13. Carolina
14. Brett Favre
15. Alex Smith
16. Randy McMichael

Obviously, I have no kicker. So, who should I swap out? or, How much does not playing a kicker affect expected win total? Ty for any help!

Yes you have to start a Kicker. It doesn't really matter who, but not starting a kicker is sacrificing 7-8pts/game. Drop McMichael, no need for 2 TE's.

What are your thoughts on Gostkowski? I like how he played in the playoffs and think that success may carry over...otherwise, options for K free agents:
Nugent, Scobee, Hanson, Nedney, Tynes, and Lindell all seem serviceable to me...any clear standouts from this pack? or, like you already said, does it not truly matter?

I like Scobee or Gostowski. Scobee was plenty good last year and I see him putting up similar #s again

FO has gostkowski doing really well.

NE is a very good team, he'll get lots of chances. I like picking him up.

That said, the difference here is probably only 3-4 points over the course of the season, so do w/e.

Also, would it be an acceptable move to drop Jennings or Carolina over McMichael when I pick up my K? and, thanks for the help!

Rightfully so. Terrible trade for him. I have no experience with 14 team leagues, but having a WR core of T. Glenn, Galloway, Toomer, Kennison & J. Jones seems really really horrible to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

My starting WRs are L. Fitzgerald, J. Galloway, and T. GLenn. Looking at last year's stats, my WRs are slightly above average compared to the starting WRs on the other 13 teams.
