What's the advantage of no roleclaims? [/ QUOTE ]We keep our double voter covered. Or actually more like a triple voter, because he can shift an NY vote from an NJ wagon to an NY wagon for a net of 2, then add his own vote for a net of 3. |

[/ QUOTE ] OK, so, assuming the value of a vote buyer is approximately zero if he's hidden, what's the value of no claiming? The vote buyer has no idea who is a wolf. He doesn't get a secret memo detailing who he should move votes to in order to help the village. In fact, he could be moving votes off wolves, on to villagers. See: LC lynch. See: Luckay lynch. His value, right now, is in being a confirmed villager. I can actually make an argument for the angel not coming out (protecting the vote buyer). But not for the weakest village power role to stay hidden. |

Re: The Soprano\'s: All in the Family Game Thread
Uh, the value of a vote buyer is NOT zero if he is hidden. He keeps us in the game even if the wolves gain a vote advantage on us.
Where did this idea come from, that the only value of a vote buyer is in relaying to the village what the other team's vote switcher did? Whatever happened to valuing control of the lynch? But whatever, I'm not conceding yet. If you want to claim, claim, but I urge the vote buyer to zip it. |

Re: The Soprano\'s: All in the Family Game Thread
Neil - it is basically must lynch. It could be 7-7 villagers/wolves today. We need the clarity that everyone claiming their role brings. It is not a slightly greater chance of lynching a wolf today it is a much greater chance. Make the wolves make a decision to either counterclaim and expose themselves or let two or three villagers confirm themselves. All the wolves need is two villagers (at most) making the wrong call today and they can basically auto-win. WE HAVE TO CLAIM TODAY AND WE HAVE TO DO IT NOW

Re: The Soprano\'s: All in the Family Game Thread
One thing to consider is the 2 50% peeks the evils get nightly. Maybe we should have the buyer claim then the angel protects him at night? If the buyer has been peeked already we're just hurting ourselves.
