There were a few things I obviously didn't like, but overall I'm happy with my team. I know Cutler was really high, but the top-10 QB's were already taken. If I hadn't picked Boldin, I would have just waited on whichever fell between Cutler and Leinart, but I don't like to use a QB/WR combo from the same team. I also picked Romo high, but my strategy going in was to draft a good backup QB if I didn't get one of the top 6.

Brandon Jackson was also high, but he was the only starting RB left aside from Dunn, LenDale, and Foster.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is exactly how I don't want my first 2 picks to go. Nobody can take anything away from both those backs, they are solid. But you just never put yourself in a position to compete with an LT/Owens combo. It's so hard to win taking the rb/rb route with those 2 backs.

My draft is tomorrow 9/3 at 4:00

My league is full of players, so no real funny business draftwise.

I'm in a 12 team 1Q 2RB 2WR TE K D.
I have the 4th pick and wifi access so I plan on posting here and maybe getting some live feedback by anyone who may be hanging around. Regardless, I have a couple questions if you happen to have some insight, since most drafts are over and you have some time to digest everything.

I really don't want to [censored] up my first two picks.

Please put Gore Alexander Addai Johnson in order of value as you see it.

Also, I would imagine I'll need to choose between Jones-Drew, Edge, R. Brown so what is your value order on that.

Next, I don't want to mess up the next few rounds.

I realize there are a ton of variables here, but do I NEED to gp WR here or do I grab another RB or top tier QB if one is available?

Other than that, I would appreciate any of your top sleeper picks.

While I have your ear, any value tips of any kind would also be appreciated.

Thanks to all.

[/ QUOTE ]

I just did a 12 teamer that also only has 2 starting WR and no flex position. Is yours 4 pts per passing TD or 6? Points per reception or no? I'm not used to PPR leagues.

Just did a draft on RTsports. $30 league. For fun. QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, D. PPR. 1pt/10yds, 1 pt/20pyds. 4pt/passing TD. 12 team. Pick 12.

12 (Travis Henry, RB, DEN)
13 (Laurence Maroney, RB, NWE)
36 (T.J. Houshmandzadeh, WR, CIN)
37 (Andre Johnson, WR, HOU)
60 (Laveranues Coles, WR, NYJ)
61 (Jamal Lewis, RB, CLE)
84 (Jerious Norwood, RB, ATL)
85 (Philip Rivers, QB, SDG)
108 (Chris Cooley, TE, WAS)
109 (Fred Taylor, RB, JAC)
132 (Muhsin Muhammad, WR, CHI)
133 (Michael Jenkins, WR, ATL)
156 (Green Bay Packers, D/ST, GNB)
157 (Robbie Gould, K, CHI)

I love my RB depth and my WR starters. My lack of depth at WR is pretty much a result of taking RB's that just kept slipping. I've never done a PPR league and would love some feedback.

Nice team... Housh/Johnson/Coles are awesome starters in a PPR league.

team #2 ... not hugely thrilled about this one. 4/6/6, 25/10/10, otherwise standard scoring. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1R/W, 1TE, 1K, 1DEF. 8th pick of a 12-team draft.

1. (8) Brian Westbrook RB
2. (17) Edgerrin James RB
3. (32) Antonio Gates TE
4. (41) Donald Driver WR
5. (56) Deion Branch WR
6. (65) Chris Chambers WR
7. (80) Marion Barber III RB
8. (89) Mark Clayton WR
9. (104) Warrick Dunn RB
10. (113) Adrian Peterson RB
11. (128) Rex Grossman QB
12. (137) Jacksonville DEF
13. (152) Oakland DEF
14. (161) Matt Schaub QB
15. (176) Joe Nedney K

thoughts? i wish i had done better at QB1 and RB3, but didn't really see a chance to get a lot of value earlier with either. also may have reached a bit too early for gates.

The team with LT is obviously stacked, but I think I have either the second or third best team.
Also, Manning was gone before my first pick, and Steve Smith, Tom Brady, and Carson Palmer were gone before my second pick. So my only options at 15 were Henry, Rudi, Chad Johnson, and Marvin Harrison. I thought Rudi was the best value.
Here are the teams, for what it's worth.

Team 1
QB:Kitna
RB:LT, Cadillac Williams, Reuben Droughns, Leon Washington
WR:Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Jerricho Cotchery, Jerry Porter, Mike Furrey, Joe Jurevicius

K:Akers, Josh Brown

Team 2

QB:Phillip Rivers, Ben Roethlisberger
RB:Stephen Jackson, Clinton Portis, Kevin Jones, Michael Pittman, Marcel Shipp
WR:Tory Holt, Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes, Wes Welker, Bryant Johnson

DEF:San Diego
K:Matt Stover

Team 3

QB:Matt Hasselbeck, Jake Delhomme

DEF:Pittsburgh
K:Shayne Graham

Team 4

I like Team 1 better than mine and maybe Team 5 (I don't know how he got such a good team because he picked Chicago D then Vinatieri in the fifth and sixth rounds).
Hey, and I'm only an LT injury away from being far and away the best team.

Wow, my friends are idiots.

10 team league, NO ppr, QB/2 RB/3 WR/TE/K/D

QB: E. Manning
RB: Gore, Parker, Portis, Green, Jackson
WR: CJ, Wayne, Driver, S. Moss, Jackson, Holmes
TE: Shockey
K: Gostkowski
D: MN

A non-idiot friend's team, same league:
QB: McNabb, Romo
RB: LJ, McGahee, TJones, Taylor, Jordan
WR: Fitzgerald, RWilliams, Burress, Clayton, Curry
TE: Crumpler
K: Rackers
D: Dallas

Despite ending up with Eli at QB, my team tops his handily, right?

Great trade for you. Difference between Henry and Jones is significantly greater than differences between Johnson/RegBrown and Cooley/Watson.

Plus you pick up a roster spot which is always fun.

Whoops, didn't see that you have Ronnie Brown at RB2, not TJones.

I still do it, its closer though.
