I'm not saying religion is bad, it's just not for me. But wouldn't you say that tricking kids into loving jesus by playing them catchy songs and giving them candy and stuff is not the correct approach?

Young are also taught by television to be overly materialistic, and are also shown violent, sexual and criminal images and lifestyles pretty young also. I hardly think parents teaching their kids about religion is anywhere near as bad.

My parents are pretty devout Christians, and we all went to something similar for years while I was a kid. When I was 14 I decided it was total bs. I have recently changed my mind and become a Christian again, but my point is kids can make up their own minds, this is not terrible brainwashing.
