[ QUOTE ]
I know this may sound strange, but maybe there are other people who feel the same way. I find that no matter how many times I read a thread of a game I am not involved in, I can't get the feel for the game that I do when I am an active participant. That means that my reads and opinions are likely to change widely as the game goes on.

Based on the first day here are my thoughts:

Spook - Strong villager read. Not just his strategy posts, but the fact that he seemed to honestly be trying to work out the best strategy.

Luckay - I am getting a feeling for him and I think he is a villager.

Mild evil vibe -

Herbie - I am saying this partially because I am afraid if I don't, he will skate if he is evil. Partially because I am getting a vibe like he is my evil twin.

IY - This is funny because he is probably a villager. I base that on everyone saying he is a villager. Wolves don't tend to call other wolves sure villagers so when there is a consensus I tend to believe the majority has it right. That being said I have thought he may be a wolf because of his posts and his tone. I can try to explain further if need be.

Ps. Durron, I ignored your list because I am not going to throw out completely random speculation before I have actual firm opinions. The opinions I do have aren't all that strong yet anyway.

reread books - this and ..

I am pretty certain FCBL is village. His role claim (such as it is) doesn't clear him, but I got the feeling he honestly thought it would clear him. Borg would know from the outset that role claims are meaningless.

that are about the only "seer type" breadcrumbs he left behind.

Herbie = Deanna of BORG?

FCBL seems odd to me also.

not a great deal of posts - most of them are very short.

throws himself into riddling with great gusto - I'm not ready to call him a wolf yet - but I dunno.

Because Clowntable is like 10x wolfier than dmk is.

And because there is the fairly significant likelihood that either he was peeked or wolves thought he was peeked, in both cases, he'd be getting thrown under right now.

theres still an hour+ to go yet - wouldn't the borg wait until closer to deadline time before trying to bandwagon a non wolf?

are they throwing a wolf under the bus in the hopes that after yesterdays "DADV" type - Luckay MUST be villa cos noone else is voting for anyone else type of read and hoping the same thing today wil clear clown??

No one believes in DADV. Most people think it's moronic, including me. But it works. A lot.

Wolves in long games are generally almost always trying to save their fellow wolves by supporting opposite bandwagons. They wish to come onto one and only one opposite wagon to oppose the wolf wagon.

This will happen whenever any opposite wagon gains traction.

This is not happening right now. This is either because we have wagoned a villager or wolves think clowntable is obvious where they shouldn't try to defend him (because of a seer peek or something).

The way the votes line up, the action that this day has is not the type of action that coincides with most wolf wagons.

Hey - got caught up at work at am running late to poker night so I don't have much time. I am happy with my vote and think DADV is moronic. I also think the riddle can be useful as info to us but not the way most of you seem to be trying to solve it. I think it may be much more useful to us tomorrow after we see who dies tonight - if it has any meaning it is probably a riddle for the Borg of who to kill tonight.

Or possibly a riddle leading to Q's identity so the borg don't kill him.
