Re: Today I became a pro.
MJ- how many SNGICONs videos has wickss watched since he got his blog/free subscription? i think if he spent a couple hours each day for a week looking at the stuff on that site he would probably double his ROI by the end of the week.

[ QUOTE ] HUGE LEAK. stacking offing with low pp is bad! [/ QUOTE ] Button is on a huge range here, this is not a bad push. This is how SNG's are won, villian was a tool, I watched this hand and lmao.... [/ QUOTE ] I would not say it is a huge leak, but not not an easy call IMO. It is very likely a race b/c villain has 2 overs. Honestly, I think I fold and keep shoving into shorty. I don't have SNGW at work, but I think I re-shove w/ 77+, AT+ |

Re: Today I became a pro.
Counter-intuitive, but based on my own experience I think playing more tables simultaneously is a great way to find leaks. First, you get a big sample size quickly (and most importantly, this sample is all of hands played with the same strategy), so you can analyze your strategy with PT or PokerOffice. Secondly, with 9 tables, you have to act fairly quickly: so if you find yourself hesitating, it highlights that you are in a situation worth reviewing, and learning from.
Of course, this only works if you have a study strategy and the time to implement it. |

I dont care how huge the range is. That is a terrible play. [/ QUOTE ] So if you put him on ATC you don't call? And in general if you don't care about ranges, may I suggest blackjack? |

Re: Today I became a pro.
Does wickss plan on playing in any of tomorrow night's Trout Games? I'm sure all the players there would love to have our local Celebrity Pro show up.

[/ QUOTE ] i agree it can be a push but it depends more on how much of BTs range folds than what the range actually is |

[/ QUOTE ]That answer is 0, and I agree with you, this is important. As a life coach, I would point out that a HUGE key to success in trying to play poker for a living is time management. Time management and bankroll management are equally as important as your actual game, if not more so. I'm trying to help wickss in this area. Love chatting with you guys during the daytime. If there are more questions, I'll be back in around an hour to get to them. P.S. In discussing time management, I am saying that he needs to be making time for videos, review of hh's, reading, thinking, etc.. |

[/ QUOTE ] raising off with a low pp is fine, but calling off is just bad. Pretty much his whole range is going to be at minimum a slight underdog. You always have to make the best hand by calling. |
