Anyone see this Edwar Ramirez pitch the 9th yesterday?
Struck out the side in his major league debut. Got Morneau, Lew Ford and Michael Cuddyer, all with nasty chageups. Kid's got a plus fastball, a tight little slider, great change-up and a funky delivery similiar to Frankie Rodriguez. He was pitching in the independent league and Cashman jumped on him. Seems like another scrap heap guy like Bruney that Cashman found.

Great job with the lineup today Joe!
OBP of the leadoff hitter: an astounding .327 OBP of the 2-hole hitter: a clutch .304 The lineup also features Nieves instead of Posada (understandable) and Thompson instead of Abreu. I understand Santana is a lefty but why would you rest Abreu on the same day that you are resting Posada?
